Mr. Weyand assumed the role of chairman and CEO of MSC Software in February 2005.
Mr. Weyand was Chairman and CEO of Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC) from 1997 to 2001. During that time, he redefined SDRC's strategic direction to capitalize on new growth opportunities, establishing the company as a market leader in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions. Under his direction, SDRC acquired seven companies. In 2001, he successfully facilitated the sale of SDRC to Electronic Data Systems (NYSE: EDS) for $1 billion.
Prior to joining SDRC, Mr. Weyand served as Executive Vice President of Measurex Corporation, where he refocused the company's sales strategy to increase its market share to more than 50 percent. Previously, he held several senior sales and marketing positions at Cygnet Systems, Avco Corporation and Chomerics. Mr. Weyand also serves on the boards of Riverstone Networks (Nasdaq: RSTN), Ascential Software (Nasdaq: ASCL), Pavilion Technologies Inc. and Radiance Technologies. He serves on the board of the Ohio River Valley Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and as a trustee of Nichols College.
Glenn Wienkoop
President, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Wienkoop joins MSC.Software from BDNA Corporation where he served as the president and chief operating officer.
Mr. Wienkoop has held the position of president and chief operating officer at Portal Software where he was responsible for all company operations and the development of a new enterprise corporate strategy. He served as president and chief operating officer at Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC) prior to its acquisition by EDS in 2001. During his tenure at SDRC he led the transformation from a packaged software provider to an integrated enterprise solutions provider with Teamcenter becoming the PLM leader ultimately resulting in SDRC's acquisition. Before SDRC Mr. Wienkoop was the division president at Cognex Corporation. He also held several executive positions at Honeywell-Measurex Corporation including division president, executive vice president of marketing and engineering, vice president corporate business development, and vice president of sales and services.
Mr. Wienkoop completed executive programs at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology and Stanford University. He holds an MBA from the University of West Florida and a masters and bachelors degree in engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
John Mongelluzzo
Executive Vice President, Business Administration, Legal Affairs and Secretary
Mr. Mongelluzzo is responsible for management of MSC.Software's business administration and legal activities, facilities management, information technology and other operational activities.
Prior to joining MSC.Software in March of 2005, Mr. Mongelluzzo served as counsel at the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, where he counseled companies in the areas of general corporate law, commercial transactions, intellectual property, computer technology and licensing, government regulation and mergers and acquisitions. He previously served as senior vice president of business administration, secretary and general counsel at Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC) prior to its acquisition by EDS in 2001. During his 17 year tenure at SDRC, Mr. Mongelluzzo directly participated in all aspects of SDRC's business and was responsible for legal and contractual support of SDRC's sales, services and product development organizations, and management of all acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and joint ventures.
Mr. Mongelluzzo holds a bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati and a J.D. from the Capital University College of Law.
Sam M. Auriemma
Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
Mr. Auriemma is responsible for overseeing global accounting, finance and the investor relations activities of MSC.
Mr. Auriemma is a seasoned software industry veteran with more than 25 years of accounting and corporate finance experience. During his career he has served as CFO for six different companies ranging in size for $35 to more than $500 million. Just prior to joining MSC he was the Executive Vice President and CFO at FileNet Corporation, which was acquired by IBM in October 2006. Prior to FileNet he was Executive Vice President and CFO for Wonderware Corporation. Prior to Wonderware he was CFO at Locus Computing, Distributed Logic and Applied Circuit Technology. He is a certified public accountant and holds a bachelor of science degree from University of Southern California.
Dr. Reza Sadeghi
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Sadeghi is currently the CTO of MSC Software, with responsibility for strategy and development of all MSC core technologies (Nastran, Marc, Adams and Dytran).
Prior to the merger of MARC Analysis Research Corp. and MSC.Software, he was responsible for the company's overall operations. Before joining MARC Analysis Research Corporation, he was responsible for the simulation methods group at Goodrich aerospace, where he led the development of a number of math based tools for design and manufacturing of commercial and military jet engine nacelle structures. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience in the filed of Computational mechanics and math based modeling. He has been asked to serve on a number of science and technology review boards, among them the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as authored a number of papers in the field of computational mechanics and math based modeling.
Amir A. Mobayen
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Services
Mr. Mobayen is responsible to further drive the company's evolution and performance, effectively uniting the existing regional Sales and Services operations into a single, globally connected, field organizational structure.
Mr. Mobayen, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Northridge, joined MSC.Software in October 2001, bringing his 12 year pedigree of international general management experience and success he gained in his roles as AVNET's Executive Vice President EMEA Field Operations and prior to that in the U.S. based role of Senior Vice President responsible for Global Supplier Relations for IBM. Throughout his six years as Senior Vice President of MSC.Software's EMEA operations, Mr. Mobayen lead the Sales and Technical Services organization, achieving continuous profitability and the development of close strategic relationships with many of MSC.Software's key customers.
Dr. Christopher St.John
Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific Operations
Dr. Christopher St.John is a Senior Vice President of MSC.Software Corporation and is responsible for all business in the Asia Pacific region, which includes Japan, PRC, Korea, Australia, India, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore.
For 5 years prior to relocating to Japan in January 2002, Dr. St.John was head of the European Operations of MSC.Software. Before joining MSC.Software in 1991 Dr. St.John held posts with universities and engineering consulting practices in both the UK and the USA. His field of expertise is in the application of numerical models to the solution of engineering problems. Dr. St.John completed his studies at London University, Imperial College of Science and Technology, UK. He obtained a BSc degree in Mining Engineering in 1967 and was awarded a Ph.D in 1972 for research on the topic of Numerical Modelling in Rock Mechanics.
John Howaniec
Senior Vice President, Americas Sales Operations
Mr. Howaniec joins MSC.Software with more than 20 years of enterprise software experience and was most recently president and CEO of Cohesia, an early stage enterprise software company.
Prior to Cohesia, Mr. Howaniec was regional president at EDS, where he was responsible for the sales, services, and marketing of the UGS PLM line of enterprise software products in the Americas. Prior to EDS, Mr. Howaniec held executive positions at Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC), including vice president, eastern region operations, vice president of operations, Metaphase Technology Division and Regional manager of PDM sales. While at SDRC, Mr. Howaniec was essential to the product development and market deployment of enterprise Product Data Management (PDM) solutions.
Douglas Peterson
Senior Vice President, Product Development
Mr. Peterson is currently Senior Vice President of Software Development for MSC Software and is responsible for the SimEnterprise products at MSC.
Mr. Peterson joined MSC.Software in 2002 following MSC.Software's acquisition of Mechanical Dynamics, where he served as vice president of product development and chief technical officer for five years. Mr. Peterson joined Mechanical Dynamics following Mechanical Dynamics' acquisition of StatDesign, Inc., where he was an original founder and served as president for five years. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University.
Randy Gorrell
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Mr. Gorrell is a seasoned human resources executive with broad administration and operations experience within the technology, manufacturing and service industries. During his career he has demonstrated ability to lead global human resources teams and strategically partner with executive teams including CEO and Board of Directors. Gorrell joins MSC.Software from ITT Corporation, a premier multi-industry company that supplies advanced technology products and services worldwide where he served as vice president and corporate director of human resources. During his tenure at ITT, Gorrell was the worldwide leader for ITT e-HR (enterprise HR and HRIS) strategy and implementation, led a global, multicultural HR team in China, Europe and North America, and served as executive coach and consultant to the president and executive team. While at ITT, Gorrell was honored with the National Human Resources Association (NHRA) "HR Executive of the Year" award.
Prior to ITT Corporation, Gorrell held senior human resources positions at Hewlett-Packard, Westar Capital (a private equity investment firm), and USCS International (a software and services company.)
Frank Kovacs
Vice President, Strategic Alliances
Mr. Kovacs has more than 20 years of experience in the software industry and joins MSC.Software from SupportSoft, where he served as vice president of strategic sales and strategic partner development.
Prior to SupportSoft, Mr. Kovacs held executive positions at Portal Software, including vice president of the IBM global strategic alliance, vice president and general manager of Australia and New Zealand, and vice president of corporate communications. Mr. Kovacs was the vice president of strategic alliances at EDS PLM Solutions and also held several executive positions at SDRC prior to its acquisition by EDS in 2001, including vice president of strategic business alliances, vice president of marketing, and vice president of sales and marketing of Asia Pacific. Prior to SDRC, Mr. Kovacs was director of corporate accounts for BasicComputer, a key IBM business partner.
